The article linked below is actually from Grovelabs, a similar start-up from MIT who are focusing on aquaponics. And details the issues of a new member of their staff with the concept of sustainability and instead proposes that we talk about regeneration.
I’ve got to say that I wholeheartedly agree – we really need to start examining new ways of not just making existing systems more efficient & “sustainable” and instead look at how to restore and regenerate what we've broken. This appeals to the biologist inside of me, who wants to see more green spaces (which can of course me created by more efficient urban farming!)
